Rihanna at her prime never outdid Ciara's prime, AND Rih had a bigger budget behind her :plzstop:

You know what, I have to say that this is a win for Rihanna in my eyes. Looking at the bpigger picture, millions of people are listening to her music! That's major! Regardless of whether or not they have to pay for it... Feel me? Furthermore, artist don't really get shit but plagues and chart positions when people buy their albums. They don't make they money like that. They make their money from doing shows, going on tour, ad contracts, television, etc. Their income is from people enjoying their music, not purchasing it. So I agree with their team and tidal that this is a the way the future is going. Y'all may not see it but it's always a pushback when change begins...

SHE HAS BEEN GIVEN 25 mill for this, so much more that she would have earned selling it in the common way, so I'm sure that SHE DOESNT GIVE A F*CK.

LOL millions of people are listening to pirated music. The price tag is the deciding factor. There was no price tag so of course the people were willing to take a listen. She nor Jay Z should be praised for that. It's no secret that people like free stuff whether or not they'd buy it themselves.

Video and songs on Youtube get millions of hits but those artists don't sell millions of records. You know why that is? Because a click is FREE. If you had to pay before you watched or listened, I doubt the views would be so high.

This is simply another way to inflate sales and make it seem like the album is doing well. There's nothing unique about giving away music; It's called a mixtape.

ETA: Every time something like this happens, they always trying to counteract it with some feat. Bullshit. You either sold that amount or you didn't.

So all of a sudden sales and charts don't matter because she has money? You stans are something. So when the album officially flops and Beyonce releases her mess  and you compare her mess to Beyonce's it wont matter because she has $25 million?  Technically, she doesn't have that because it's been taxed the hell out of and she has people and other expenses to pay. But a lot of y'all don't know shit about finances. I wouldn't be surprised if samsung is paying for her tour and music videos... not paying her.

Samsung lost as well because this whole campaign is not going to benefit them. People will still pass up their mess for Apple's.

Kaeli.

Well ofc not. They never recognize streams as sales as they are sales trackers. Billboard will still acknowledge it as a platinum album however.
