it's unfortunate.
but i think we should know why this stuff happens in 2022. it's anti-blackness internalized and ultimately materialized.
i notice many times we fail to check EVERY instance of anti-blackness when we see it but then we laugh at those who deeply internalize it.
u see someone calling a black person a monkey, check them.
see someone calling a black person darkie, check them.
see someone calling a black person nappy headed, check them.
see someone saying black women are ugly, check them.
doesn't matter if the person saying it or putting it out there is black or not.
let's take a page from the book of the jews and pounce on the gorls even if they BREATHE the wrong way when it comes to black people. there should be no exceptions or excuses for it. there should be no debate about it.
no need to throw people away but just make it known that we won't accept these things and educate them a bit on why it's NOT acceptable.
this is what happened to azealia banks and i said the same thing then. people calling her a darkie nappy headed monkey all day on twitter then go to some "omg she hates herself, i wonder why?! oh no!" mess once she started PROJECTING the same mess onto other women - calling them ugly monkeys and bleaching her skin.
