Quote from: RAY7 on November 21, 2022, 10:39:37 PMThis is really stupid honestly if Michael being an alleged molester was an issue
Why even plan a tribute to him in the first place? So it would be cool if an innocent person tributed a molester?
Forget Chris this is really disrespectful to Michael. He went to TWO trials and was found not guilty both times. How can you treat a person like they're guilty or possibly guilty just because they're accused of something? Basically it's saying that the verdict means nothing
it's really not about michael actually being a molester. he's an alleged molester.
one who beat a couple of cases and settled others. but was never found guilty.
however, ya'll are really dismissing the power of PERCEPTION
OJ was found not guilty in the court of law but that did not change what the gorls felt about him and what they knew in their hearts to be true.
people watching TV won't think "oh i thought mike touched those kids but he beat those cases in court and settled the others so he's good in my book ! LMAO! long as theres no guilty verdict!"
even if those execs think that michael AND chris did nothing worth canceling the show for
this is ultimately a business and they have to consider what their viewers will think of what's on their screens.
it's just too much.
"woman beater pays tribute to alleged child molester, brought to you by Disney/ABC. "
that's not what you may see but you have to think further than yourself a bit to understand why this decision was made.
