i personally wouldn't put a super edgy doormat with curse words in front of my door unless i lived in a detached house or something where people would literally have to enter my yard and walk up to my door to see it.

not a hallway or common/shared walkway where people are constantly walking back and forth to look at it
possibly with their kids etc. it's definitely tacky IMO i'd even say it's disrespectful and selfish

karen still had no right to touch it. if anything leave your neighbor a very polite note
plead ur case about ur kids and u wanting to protect them from profanity. hell i'd even lie and say one of my kids actually said the word after seeing it on his mat.
