It's natural and understandable, I'm just pointing out that that was a very PC answer and a lie. In Dirty Laundry she described in detail her woes about feeling jealous and second fiddle, which again is understandable, but sitting up there in front of Barbara Walters or whoever and "SECURE!"

To be fair that happens a lot to women especially . Who are constantly put against one another

if Kelly were to even look the wrong way she'd be labeled jealous , bitter , insecure etc.

I think it's natural for someone to not wanna be "that girl" who's a "hater"

Especially considering the additional dynamics added in with Beyoncé being of a lighter complexion , etc

We all know It doesn't take much for the gorls to label someone like Kelly a "hatin ass burnt bitch".

I def understand where Kelly's mind was at here. Even if she felt some kinda way she stayed on code with her response .

And sometimes true friends definitely will try to force themselves to be happy for a friend , even when they're jealous inside . The job of a true friend is to never let their friend SEE their jealousy.

So it could also be an instance where Kelly was just tryna be a supportive friend regardless of the situation .
