I have a filming The Front Room, Descendants and The christmas film will all be released back to back.

I hope she capitalizes on that with music releases. Especially with music/tv/movie award season around the end of 2023.

I too hope she capitalizes from the movies with new music. I hope she also gets a publicist to capitalize off the exposure. The studios will set the promo schedule, but a publicist would help maximize her personal exposure. I remember Issa Rae said her publicist set the goal of getting her on a magazine cover each month for the last season of 'Insecure' and the publicist came through & that happened.

More personal exposure will lead to more endorsement deals for her.

A publicist would be amazing, but I doubt she'll get one.

I'm just hoping things fall in her lap this go around because that seems to be the only way to get the ball rolling, so to speak.

If y'all seriously think you're getting a Brandy album this year, y'all are in over your heads. Brandy most likely has barely started working on her album if at all. And Brandy has nvever been a 'record for a few months and release it' kinda artist. If anything what is more llikely is that any song she may have recorded will be scrapped as she'll be inspired to go in a different direction. And with Motown Records being in shambles right now, lets just keep our fingers crossed for 2024.

I want better for Brandy so much. 3 movies coming out in one year is a career high for her, so no reason the goal shouldn't have been get her on a cover a month like Issa Rae's publicist did for her.


Even with music Brandy's career could go where she wants to with a great publicist. No reason Bran shouldn't be on Town & Country cover, Women's Health, Shape, Architectural Digest (they do celeb features with house tours - Viola Davis is on the recent cover), foreign mags.  Erykah is on the cover of the recent US Vogue. Ciara publicist keeps her on a mag. Tinashe just posted her on a mag cover.

Amazing exposure leads to more brand deals and opportunities for her. A big part of the acting award campaign season is publicist getting their client exposure in the media, while the studios do the rest.

Speaking of magazine covers. Eryakah badu just covered vogue ? I don't see her has popular outside the black community but she was able to book it. I'm curious to know as how she has a vogue cover but brandy never has

erykah is a fashion icon and overall respected artist. Brandy is not really a fashion girl, her 90's fashion is iconic but a Vogue cover seems far fetched in comparison to Erykah getting one. Now do I think Brandy would kill a Vogue cover shoot? Of course. I just dont think shes really on their radar, especially cause she's just not moving in these fashion circles, hell she almost doesn't show her face at music events.

Her publicist Chris Chambers got her on the cover. He reps Usher and other entertainers. A well connected publicist will have connections to different ppl at publications and TV shows. They will reach out to them to get their client an interview, feature, cover.
