My grandma's been gone 9 years now and I just randomly thought of her today and broke down. I don't know if I've ever fully grieved.  :'(

Barbie Dangerous

Absolutely. You can talk just fine about the same person/subject today but have a whole breakdown tomorrow.

Kalifornia.

oph.

definitely. i know it's not as extreme as losing a loved one, but with my ex... i'll be going along great, living my life. and then out of nowhere a memory will POP into my head and fuck my whole mood up. i have to literally drag myself away from the thought and sometimes tears.

i say let it out. don't bottle it up. let those emotions flow free. through expression comes healing. and hopefully through expressing, you can get to a point where thoughts of her make you smile instead of cry, thinking about all the dope times y'all had. look up, smile, and say hey the next time you think of her. she watchin over u.

But yes. I remember scrolling through my texts when I saw the last message my dad sent to me the day he died, and I started crying. It hits you at the most unexpected times.
