First impression: It's a bit too long (he could have released a deluxe later) but there are some interesting and nice vibes on this album. A lot of these female singers sound like Sza somehow..the beats itself are giving me 2005-2010 (some beats are a bit too generic/computer beats for me, but overall it's good production.. nostalgia and good use of samples). I think Summer Walker did a great job, Jazmine, Teyana & Dirty Money have their own sounds.
I really liked the 702 - Steelo sample on Stay Awhile (originally a song by The Police). I like how Pick Up with Jacquees brings those classic R&B runs back. What's love is a good start and I liked Moment with Justin Bieber. I feel like the middle gets a bit boring, repetitive.
There are some really good tracks at the end: Space with HER is heavenly.. Boohoo and Closer to God with Teyana are great. I really needed those tracks to give me something different. I am going to give the albums a couple more spins.. I am pleasantly surprised, it could have used maybe a couple more Hiphop beats and less songs (repetitive) ..but I know there are at least 4 songs that I will put on a playlist.
