Nah, not necessarily.  It doesn't have to give NSN era. But a few interviews on the Black talk show circuit (Sherri. JHud, Dish Nation), a late night show or two won't kill her. It's the only time we gonna see her perform most of these songs, especially since she doesn't tour as much.

Brandy doesn't connect with her fans or look to build upon her fan base (I'm not talking about them same 10 girls/guys she lets backstage or interacts with on sm), she always talks about these projects being for the fans but we never know what's going on. If it wasn't for BSource and the fan pages on insta/twitter...we would be clueless and that's what the majority of ppl outside of us are when it pertains to her career. The only time I felt she really connected in recent years was on Broadway and that's such a niche market/time period.

This is the problem especially since she said she was to start doing more acting.  She has to convince people outside of her fanbase to purchase movie tickets on an international scale she will never be able to do that without having a communications strategy. Doing movies is different than doing TV, because with TV the actors just have to convince ppl over here to turn the channel. Movie actors have to sell tickets and do so on a global scale. Especially when one is the lead. They get paid the most on the cast and are expected to be the one who is supposed to be the force behind getting people in the theaters.

Brandy looks great but I've given up on promo and proper roll outs until she gets the right team behind her....I want her to go to the school of Matthew Knowles and be a Bitch until ppl get her shit right and in order.

Why she doesn't have someone running her social media pages is beyond me....5.9 mil followers since when 2020?? and she has done a lot more since then the versuz (there is a disconnect). Motown could've at least thrown the blogs a couple hundred dollars to promote the album every other week.

At this point, just record the albums/ep's in 6 months, drop them and let us enjoy please

This whole situation is giving me she wants OWT of her deal with Motown now that Ethiopia is gone, so she threw together a Christmas album to fulfill her contract.

The fact that she recorded it in 4 months and not 4 years like usual.

example being the a24 movie "Talk to Me" which didnt have any HUGE names but it exceeded box office expectations cause it looked interesting.  so the right movie could get ppl who never listen to her music, noticing her.  HOPEFULLY the front room will do that for her.

Say she get selected to lead a summer blockbuster ($100+ million production). The studio will expect her name to carry the movie to box office success. That's why there's always discussions via Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and other film publications about box office numbers. Brandy can't sale a theatrical released movie with no media presence. She has longed needed a communications team that doesn't consist of fans.

but wouldnt the studios know that? Why is she still getting roles then? If it was that important to them, they should put something in her contract that will make her work to keep her face out there.

I agree. So many other shows she could do too! I would have cut her some slack if she was doing a few podcasts but she's not so.

@Andthecategoryis...  Your post was accurate as hell. The general public perception of her would've been a major factor into while i would have heavy promotion if i was. Anytime she has negative press she trends for weeks, TMZ exclusives, a hot topic for black youtubers but it's the opposite when she has material out.
