It would have been fine if this was just a mixtape, these songs sound more like vibes and freestyles than actual finished songs. It just difficult to make something better than a Chun-Li, Save Me, All things go, Crying game. Production wise the beats are just not that good. I liked Big difference and Red because I think her delivery was great. I liked Let me calm down and Blessings because of the features (Nicki sounds real on Blessings, I think sometimes on this album her vocals sound overproduced and I miss emotions). It's a lot more mellow than I expected and the lazy samples are a gimmick clearly to get commercial success. Some of the tracks have potential, for example Bahm Bahm..but wow these lyrics sound so uninspired. The Lil Wayne feature was hilarious because he can't be serious. Those can't be your best bars.
I liked the visuals and vibes of the project. The different album covers and merch are cool. Nicki has talent for sure but she needs better producers..and maybe experiment more instead of leaning on those chipmunk sounding pop samples. It's nice for the fans she released something. I will listen again and give it time (maybe it is nice to have the more mellow songs on in the background)..hopefully some of these songs will grow on me.
