GYNandTONIC

I really don't think Brandy be lipping like that. I def heard her voice come out of the mic, lol. However, there were harmonies and backing vocals. But I'm starting to think some fans can't distinguish her live from lipped. Idk

The Grammy's isn't the BET awards and it was an Afro Beat performance. I wasn't expecting ppl to fall out their seat gasping.

Overall I think the production was noisy and too much was happening on stage. I also didn't like the subtle change to the instrumental.

The fit was mid, but she looked beautiful. Her walk has improved tremendously! The strut was strutting

I've blindly defended Jay for YEARSSSS in the name of Bey but enough is enough. You're a fucking billionaire, nobody is forcing you to attend this mess.
they came because Dr Dre gave him the award and left right after

He was elected as the chairman of The Recording Academy in June 2019, became its interim president and CEO on January 16, 2020, and then assumed the permanent role of CEO on May 13, 2021

Why do they throw Grammy parties
so they can mix and mingle with all the other black celebs and have fun.

c

Not really a gotcha question.
I'd even call it a silly one

Parties surrounding any award show is another opportunity for all the major players in that industry to mingle and talk future projects, collaborations or ventures

Rather they stop going to the ceremony or not, Jay should still attend the parties. To have all the heavy hitters in L.A. at the same time, in the same place? He'd be an idiot not to

Boomz

And yall are still missing the point.

25 years since the last black women won AOTY? C'mon man...
No black singer has released an album that's worthy in that time?

It's beyond Beyoncé at this point. She is just the most obvious example.

Barbie Dangerous

We get the point. Bey should've won at least twice by now and there are other black acts who should've as well..

Bby you were doubled over tho.
Was trying to help you catch your breath :uhh:

And you keep making the point that they are dumb for still attending. Okay that can be true and the process of deciding AOTY can still be called out as UNFAIR

And who better to do so, than some of the most rewarded?

Nicki? Lol

Quote from: STUNNA GOD on February 05, 2024, 09:52:45 AMLike, there's a HUGE line between not being recognized and just being ENTITLED. It's becoming really embarrassing... everything feels  disingenuous and like a sympathy win for us now.

He acknowledged that music is subjective but ended up talking down to the same voters he needs to vote in favor of Beyoncé the next time around. So the speech was counterproductive.

Absolutely but he looks a fool sitting in the audience each year patiently waiting for his turn. Don't talk about it, BE about it. Does this make sense?
