Male R&B has been overshadowed by hip-hop
Their only audience is black women. Female R&B has black women, gays and some straight me
It's sadly different

I would say the women, outside of SZA, are ignored for the most part as well though..

The men in r&b are typically one dimensional. SZA, for example, blends multiple genres and the song they're quoting isn't even r&b

Saturn is about her having an existential crisis. Most of these men are only talking about sex.

Because male R&B artists show no true artistry or versatility. If they're not doing a watered down rap mess, they're singing the same song since the 90s. They're BORING.

We literally talk about how Chris Brown releases the same single and album every goddam YEAR.

Majority of these new crop of R&B female and male singers sound one dimensional except maybe a select few.

!!! And outside of SZA and Summer and maybe HER these other girls aren't really doing a lot either

Stunna Gor’

And even though a lot of the R&B girls sound the same, they at least have a shared original sound that's unique and exclusive to just them. The niggers literally give us NOTHING.

They just jump l on whatever rap trend is out there and then get mad that they're being overshadowed by actual rappers and true artistry.

Outside of SZA, who is now a mainstream artist and Muni, who has a couple viral hits.On My Mama was a hit but peaked at 33.R&B females get overlooked as well.

JCJ

SZA is basically a pop act at this point in the same way Rih and Bey are

RAY7

It is kinda one dimensional. But I can't blame them because if they get even the slightest bit vulnerable they're called soft or weak
They're pretty comfortable in their little niche with making sex songs

Nine

Male R&B singers simply aren't interesting musically.

And it's not like all female R&B singers are smashing. SZA is really the only one.

RAY7

Summer does pretty well too when her albums drop. Coco Jones and Muni Long each have been having the ballad of the year each year. Jazmine finally broke through with Heaux Tales. It's a little group of females that are getting some success.
The men have Usher and Chris?
