Quote from: Sovereign. on March 03, 2024, 09:43:24 AMYou really don't understand the mechanics of the industry. They have premiere actors headlining their films that are still in post-production and they don't all necessarily have a strong social media presence. Couldn't it be possible that A24 and the directors values the integrity of their films and not a bunch social media followers and want to make a great film with Brandy as headline?
Just say Brandy is not meeting your level of expectations and move on, girl.
That girl is coined and minding her business and you should do the same.
Movies and TV shows are made to generate money. The way things work is that a distributor screens their films for theater buyers, then the theater buyers decide if they want to lease the movie. Distributors and theater buyers want to make money. That's the sole objective of the industry called the entertainment business.
If you think that Brandy at this time can fill domestic and international theaters with years of a low profile then you are not a realist. Sorry, even the biggest box office titans use social media and have a media presence. Brandy does maybe 5 interview a year. Sorry, that is not enough to convince anybody in Asia, Europe, and other markets to cough up coins to support a movie lead by her.
BTW studios shelve movies all the time. They get a tax write off which the WB CEO and other studio heads have discussed numerous times.
Also, since you constantly think social media doesn't matter in Brandy's field to justify her actions. Some of us want better for her and not fixated on just being a stan, plus we are realist.
