Lazarus

Did anybody bother to listen to it?

I didn't get through it, it's boring. I stopped listening at track 4 Play.

Nine

I started listening, I got halfway through Technicolor before I stopped.

The first four songs I heard didn't have me excited to finish.

!!!!!!

It's dry as fuck and he sounds bored and unexcited.

I didn't hear a song I really love, I miss the energy and originality. It sounds very recycled somehow. Sometimes his delivery is weak, something about his timing, the way he pronounces and times his words on the beat, he's not good at the rhythmic parts..fast lyrics that need a good flow. It's like he's reading the lyrics the first time and he doesn't feel the music.

I will have to listen again, but first impression..it was a struggle, I didn't love any tracks...I liked:
Memphis - the beat is nice but it doesn't sound like JT at all, just JT imitating Drake..they needed a feature for the rap parts. And it should have been the last track, outro.

What lovers do - this gave me a bit of a Timbaland flashback, but still I am confused why the beat is so tame. Maybe they wanted it to fit the sound of the album? It's just not hitting hard like Timbaland's past beats, it doesn't give me the same dangerous and innovative sound.

Alone - finally some real instruments. Sounds a bit like Robin Thicke, but it is a decent ballad. It probably should have been earlier on the tracklist, because I got tired of his voice when I got to it.

Technicolor - I nearly fell asleep, but I do like the beat and vibe of the song. I expected a crazy beat change like FSLS, it was a bit underwhelming. Still one of the better tracks.

That sounded like a Robin Thicke leftover from 15 years ago but without any soul. I don't ever want to hear it again.

It is wild, I really expected to love at least four songs.. It's very boring and safe, I think there might even be better songs on that Flop of the woods album (the Pharrell produced Breeze Off The Pond track)

I actually love the album and it is in my top 3 albums by him.

Finally finished this mess. My biggest takeaway is that his sound feels dated in 2024. He really hasn't grown it or evolved.

There are a few cute songs on here.

Technicolor
Liar
Infinity Sex
Imagination
What Lovers Do

But there are way too many filler songs. He coulda whittled this bloated album down to like 12 tracks.

FAMÈ

Justin hasn't made a good song (let alone album) since 2006.
