Ciara's vocal production was always on point though, e.g. Promise, Never Ever, So Hard. She understands melody really well.

The chorus should've had a beat change, stacked vocals, and a higher tempo or something to make it really POP. It blends too much and the song seems like one note but that part in particular needed a bigger sound.
