If they were friends it wouldn't take a remix of TBIM to get them in a room with each other. Have you guys noticed every time they've "reconciled" it's because they had to WORK together e.g. IABTM, Versuz, now this. It's never, "I was bored one day and called Monica, then we decided we're gonna take a vacation".

Not in 20 years have they had that type of dynamic. That alone tells me they not each other's type of person, and that's fine. But y'all sound like you're in lala land, "oh they were friends!"...when?

The fact is that they never got a real chance to know other (which is what Monica said in the interview) due to everything that happened during TBIM, which we still don't know everything other than they fought. They seemed to be cordial over the years until IABTM. Like I said people want to pick the relationship apart. They are trying to get know each other and build a real friendship as adults which they couldn't do as teenagers. I don't see the difficulty in understanding that

It's really not that hard; these are mature women with adult children. I think the issue is that they feel a need to present as friends each time they work together. Then, the next time they work together, they make it clear that this was not the case. This is more Monica's doing than Brandy's in terms of publicly stating this. However I think the breakdown in communication is mostly likely not Monica. They are old-school celebrities, and their "need to be liked" media training really shows.

People are picking the relationship apart due to the inconsistencies in their stories. The part that's odd to me is that as much as they say they are different, who else has a similar lived experience to Brandy than Monica? But celebrities are very weird, and its hard for us normal folks to understand.

I think that's what Monica is saying lately. Like she said her son was in the hospital and she called Brandy to talk about it with, something ppl don't usually do with co-workers they have no bond with.

Honestly I do think in the mid 2000s they were friends. Remember Mon on twitter jumping in the argument with Brandy and Megan Rochell and we thought she went and shot her? Or when they were hanging out at the Pre-Grammy party in 2011 (a year before IABTM was recorded)
I think they have love for each other they just have personalities that clash and they keep falling out and making up
