i love this franchise but they didnt tell a good enough back story. Being titled Day 1 i just wanted more answers. i want to know more on the military side of things like when they found out the aliens were coming and why. 

As a standalone film it would be good but for this franchise it is not.

i didnt care really about it following one lady in hospice and her cat who didnt really make any noise. I feel like they could have answered alot of questions but all it did was leave us asking more.
