I agree in parts she sounds like the old Mary but then the strangled vocals peer their ugly head.

I think it's a technique issue. She needs to go back to her singing coach she used to use during the Breakthrough era.

She needs nodule surgery and a vocal coach.

I don't why she has been avoiding it for so many years.

Once I just got used to how she sounds (again).. The song is very enjoyable. But I listen to Mary quite often and it always throws me to hear her on new stuff
