I feel like their movies always start off good and have interesting ideas but always end up being stupid or going absolutely NOWHERE.

I just watched this yesterday..

I remember being so spooked out by this film initially but then it got kinda ridiculous, per usual.

I think the issue is that they make AMAZING trailers but the actual films are never as spooky or what I expected. It's just always a bunch of riddles and hidden messages.

But often once I go back and watch it for the second time with a more open mind, I appreciate it more.

Hereditary is great, Midsommar is amazing, Talk To Me is phenomenal like... I haven't even heard of these others besides Men and all these have different directors and writers loves.

I think the exact opposite. If the viewers gotta create the entire PLOT, meaning, message, and EVERYTHING themselves, I think that's extremely lazy writing and filmmaking.
