Why did he leave ALL of this out of his explanation of what happened that day?

"I was walking. I saw Jennifer walking with a friend of mine, his name is *snaps fingers* damn, what's his name?? anyway we said hi and bye, and I went home and took a nap. When I woke up police were at my door."
