So she's lying about the Jay thing but what about the Nicki interaction? That's all real huh

She wrote what she wrote but then changed the tone of the Jay story after the first interview.

did what she wrote say she was offended or upset at Jay?

No she said she used it as fuel to "show him." That's not the point. Jays ego and care about his reputation didn't like being painted in any perceived negative light so he called her asked/told her to REALLY clear it up and convince us that he's the most supportive human in the business and didn't mean any harm, and such a gentleman!

What his intent was and how she took it are different things. He very well could have meant it to be nasty. But, power.

IDK, I mean is he calling everyone that's out here slandering his name right now? If this was all about ego and protecting his reputation he probably would've tried to block her from even putting that part in her book. Sounds more like he cares specifically what Eve thinks about him. For her to be the one that got the call and had to clear everything up.

I ask to bring up this point: if someone within your industry came up to you and said, "hey Ray. I see what you're doing and that's amazing! But don't get your hopes up. You know black boys from ____ only get so far and make 30% less" would you take that as a way they were trying to motivate you?

Also why would there be anything to "clear up" and smooth over if he didnt feel a way about the public perception? She said in the book how she took it. If he was concerned only about how Eve took it, him reading the text alone would have sufficed because she literally wrote that she took it as motivation. The public perception is exactly what he was worried about Ray. Come on.

im not saying he doesn't care at all about his public perception. However the notion the his ego can't handle any negative light is just kind of extreme to me in this case. Like I said, there's a lot of negative things out here about him but the only one he seemingly addressed is Eve. Sounds to me like he doesn't want her to be upset and doesn't want ppl to think Eve is upset with him.
She said "Jay supports who he supports" kinda gives off he cares about Eve and the perception of their relationship.
