I mean, I wash my fruits and vegetables and definitely after handling raw meat and mess, I try not to touch it, though. Besides that, what are you really trying to prove?

Not to prove anything, it just feels necessary (even tho it's really not). I need to wash my hands after touching anything edible, wet, or textured plus I'm particular about preventing certain scents from traveling from one host to another.

Um, I do the same when cooking.  I wouldn't want to eat at your house if you didn't.  It's probably germs all over ya'll kitchen

I thought most Black folk are like this. I try to wipe down my surfaces as I'm cooking too. Maybe a little extra but I just don't like the "clammy" feelings on my hands when I'm handling different types of food.
