Cuz she could've at LEAST pushed DYK before a goddam Without You
Idk.It's hard to say. That era in music was a weird especially for R&B.Pop was killing it. Most of the big R&B songs had nostalgic feel(Adorn, Love on Top, Refill,Climax) and it was also the time rappers started to  hijack R&B with rap/sing and hook-heavy songs.
DYK had Mike Will production which was big at the time. She had the sound before Rih came with Pour It Up
This was an oversight
At least we know Bran pushed for it
!!!! That's what I always said. She literally could've pushed that whole sound for R&B

Yeah that's one thing I will say about her ex-Ryan, he had his ear to the latest hot producers. Def a missed opp to not lead the R&B wave with the Mike Will sound since she was the first to jump on it. "Bandz A Make Her Dance" was so BIG during 2/11 too, that DYK after PID was kinda obvious especially after the initial album reaction

Put It Down
Do You Know
Slower
Wildest Dreams (Tour/Fan appreciation video) similar to how it already is.
Without You

Oof! This perfect line up & if not, Without You, Wish Your Love Away would've been perfect too
 :gorlonfire:
I wanted Hardly Breathing to be released so bad during the late fall/early winter season.

They dropped the ball hard  :udontlookok:

I never understood why y'all went up for HB. It grew on me a lot but I'm still not sure it should have been a single.

And like someone else said, I'm ready for a fun & more uptempo Brandy album again... thanks for the deep, retrospective work but let's gather some hot producers like KAYTRANADA, Metro Boomin, D-Mile and have fun a bit in Brandy's style

Yeah I agree with this... if we had to pick Rico songs as singles NSTATL or CYHMN would've been better

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

Looking back at that time, Can You Hear Me Now should've had a Drake, Wale or Kendrick feature to fill in that space

There was a remix for can you hear me now with French Montana

Yeah I always felt it was mid though. I think Drake, Wale, or Kendrick probably could've did better and exposed her to their audiences

They'd need to mix it again cause it sounds very mixtapish to me lol.

Dee

I was at this show back in 2012.

:stressed:

Literally one of the most confident and secure times I've ever saw Brandy on stage.

The vocals, outfit, stage presence. BITCH I'm living all over again
