I think Brandy is used to a certain level of success that when she doesn't hit the amount of sales/fame she's looking for she retreats or think it's a failure. Or maybe the pay isn't big enough anymore because there's no reason she's not doing this instead of Halle to be Motown and she's signed to them with a Christmas album

not everything is about brandy. Halle is young & still somewhat relevant. Literally nobody wants brandy to do this, it doesn't even really make sense for her.

Why doesn't this make sense for Brandy? She's on the label and covered one of the records on her album. Wasn't you all screaming to be patient she can promote the Xmas project next year. Next year is here, so why is she missing out on easy bookings.

she didnt even promote it much last year, why would she now?

Halle is hosting. Brandy doesn't need to host but she could have at least been booked as a performer. Ashanti is there and she is Brandy's peer in this industry


Really don't see why Brandy couldn't do a performance as well especially since she did a whole Christmas album with Motown and she submitted a song for a Grammy nomination.

ashanti loves being in the limelight, brandy doesnt. Thats probably the reason.

Exactly. I was one of the main people complaining about that. And to hush me up, oh, she always has next year/ great thing about holiday albums that you promote every year. I knew that was crap. Brandy needs to announce her retirement.

Good lineup of artists performing. Another good booking for Ashanti. World Series and now this booking. She and her mom been handling her career really stellar these past several years.

Spring Hill producing a TV holiday specials is surprising. Assumed that they only did streaming specials and movies.

I'm hoping this is just a case of saving Brandys performance to be a surprise for the show. The album dropped so close to Xmas last year that this year is the year to really go in on the Christmas album with a rerelease and a few additional tracks along with a new video or two and performances like this. Especially with the songs being sent to Grammys Feels Different should be a single with the full treatment.

Hopefully if she's really not a part of this it's because she's too booked already. Rumour has it she's currently filming the next I Know what you did last summer and will be headed to the next Descendants set right after that.

Nope saw this one online a few days ago on one of the Brandy groups on Facebook

It's November 2nd...she's not dropping a re-release unless it's gonna be even closer to Christmas than when she released the album last year.

Brandy can't announce her retirement when she's working on a new album and still signed to motown records
