Honestly, if you have to ask this question you are better of staying home any way. More pedestrians die crossing the streets in NYC then are killed on the trains.

The number one rule anywhere is to be alert. RIP to the lady, because I'm sure there are circumstances beyond her control that led to her being sleep on the train. However that is a huge no no!

anyone not from or living in new york, pls refrain from commenting. ppl sleep on the train all the time, no "special circumstances" needed

 :omf:

Just because people do something, that does not make it right! Especially for a woman, falling asleep on the train could be dangerous. When I say circumstances, I mean people who are coming home after a long day of work and may just be tired! But if you were driving from work, you will stay up, and the train is no different.

I get that you like to be disagreeable, but this person asked about how to stay safe, and the number one rule anywhere is to stay alert. Being in a deep sleep in public is the most non-alert thing you can do.
a lot of people actually make their work commute part of their sleep schedule

Especially in the mornings

Fnfnnfnfnfnfnfn and especially if they're lucky enough to grab a seat

So I see what Oph means. It's def common

But personally I wouldn't do it . Intentionally at least. But Sometimes people are so tired they can't help but to find themselves dozing away.

If I see someone deep sleeping on the subway I just assume they've had a super long day/night.

Our bodies can kinda PUSH us into a mess especially when it's demanding rest. So I don't judge them

But tourists who are just frolicking around the city on vacation shouldn't really be sleeping on the train . If you plan things accordingly there would be no reason to

And many times peoples bodies are so used to them making the work commute part of their sleep schedule , they wake up right before it's time for their stop.

Most times! I have plenty of friends who do it with ease but I could never get so comfortable in a public setting.

Not a lot of brains around here. Just because people sleep on the fucking train doesn't mean its a GOOD idea. People also jump in front of trains too but it doesn't mean it's a damn good idea either bnxxxcz

Ulysses

Sounding stupid is telling people its okay to sleep on a train where any stranger can come up and light your broke ass on fire :dead:

She's been identified by name. Debrina was a homeless woman

This pic circulating is allegedly hers

Was yanked from a yearbook of woman being listed as "Debbie kawam". If the yearbook pic is real I'm sure that's her. How many "deb kawams" could there possibly be.

Bvbbbbbbb very interesting surname
