I can appreciate his perspective but sometimes "doing the right thing" isn't always the right thing to do

It's all about how you look at things. He coulda held onto that money and maybe invested it , and grew it , so that he could be an even BIGGER blessing to less fortunate people in the future.

Just to give it away so quickly IMO is giving toxic masculinity and ego  - under the guise of "noble!" . especially considering it came from a woman.

Exactly! If you're struggling to make ends meet, then you are the one in need of charity  :dead: .

The bad part to me, is that she had to reach out to you to get your details to send you the money. You could have graciously declined the offer. Secondly, if you had a change of heart, you should send it back!
