I think peoples love of conspiracy theories fuels a lot of it

It's more entertaining to believe there's some huge plot to keep someone under strong guardianship when there's no real cause to do so

But Wendy has literally been diagnosed with dementia
ncnxnxnnccncnncncnncnc

A guardianship is MANDATORY but why not her family tho?
honestly I think it comes down to what Wendy's paperwork was looking like before she got sick

If there was paperwork stating her family would be the ones to step in I'm pretty sure that's what would happen

But once someone has been officially/medically deemed unfit to make certain decisions on their own I 100% agree with leaving everything as they set it up when they were in their right mind

well yeah I did originally say "I think" , not "fact is".

Meaning, I'm already well aware I haven't reviewed all related documentation and am pondering possibilities.

So what's next... a friendly reminder that the earth is round?

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

Amazing

Quote from: Aalonso. on January 16, 2025, 09:21:38 AMBitch. I haven't watched it yet but did she explain why she didn't/couldn't make some type of effort to dig in to Diddy? I mean that's tea that she probably been waiting DECADES to REALLY sip and add details to. I mean the hoopla is over now

Cos she is locked up in a prison for the mentally deranged

Amazing

Quote from: The First Black Kalmyks on January 17, 2025, 08:01:17 AMIt's easy for us to listen to a few minutes of her talking and say "nothing wrong with ha!"

But Even people with advanced dementia have moments where they appear very lucid and still show signs of their personality . Can even recall past events and seem very present .

Then, suddenly flip into someone unrecognizable at a moments notice, and recognize no one around them .

Things like "Sundowning" are a thing .

Maybe Wendy is actually OK - that's a possibility. But just saying there's complexities to these conditions that should be considered

Her family are saying she is fine. Shouldn't they know better than you and I.

Wendy has always been a scattered brain mess. That doesn't mean she needs to be locked up in mental asylum indefinitely.

denial (willful or not) is actually a huge thing families face in these situations

Would you WANT to believe your loved one was medically/mentally a shell of their previous self? Probably not

Any ounce of their personality still showing, any moments of them recalling events from the past... families will hold on to that and may use it to challenge or even override a MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS.

and another unfortunate possibility is that sometimes families want control for financial reasons . Wendy is a wealthy woman. This can't be ignored

I understand families know her but a id say a doctor overrides family opinion - especially with a diagnosis as serious as the one she's been given.

And I just saw reports that her son was spending a lot of her money. Huge amounts on uber eats, parties

I kinda suspected that was the case . And he's not to be demonized for that ... he's a young guy who probably doesn't fully understand the value of money and doesn't realize it can run out - especially when mom can no longer work to keep bringing it in

He was kinda doing what you'd expect someone his age to do.

Maybe if Wendy was still married (to a good man) things would be different but honestly it's probably best her money is protected for her OWN GOOD. She's gonna need a significant amount of medical care for the rest of her life and that's not cheap

Family sometimes can be the biggest threat to your financial wellness, because they can have a sense of ENTITLEMENT that others may not .
