Quote from: Scott. on February 10, 2025, 10:15:48 AMNobody was asking about Wayne until his minions were crying about him not being chosen! :dead: And his music is back at the top of itunes so it obviously did what needed to be done.

Y'all expect him to be popping pussy like Beyonce and turning flips like Chris, and that's not the kind of artist he is,

No one expects that. I get the message and understand the meaning but I can promise you the ppl who need to hear it don't care.

This is just my personal opinion here but I wanna see pussy poppin death drops and back bends at the Super Bowl.

I wanna be entertained at the Super Bowl watching my team play and a fun half time show.

The half time show wasn't fun or exciting, to me.

"No one expects that"

But literally agreed that that's what you expect to see at a half time show.

Bye

I was saying no one expects that from him as in Kendrick.

Quote from: RAY7 on February 10, 2025, 01:13:59 PMWayne is not what the "culture" needed The only reason he was mentioned is because he's from New Orleans. Let's not forget get the nigga is a whole coon, out here dissing Black women and standing behind cops
Also he wouldn't have given the theatrical SPECTACLE that Kendrick just did it would've been him walking around rapping with I'm sure a bunch of other people there to save him and hype up the crowd

Yeah the New Orleans culture needed it. It just makes sense to have Wayne do it.

Also Kendrick is doing this for the "LA or cali hoods" etc

Kendrick literally walked around and rapped as well. The only song ppl wanna hear is not like us. The rest of the show was boring af and most the world feels the same.

I'm actually surprised at how many ppl didn't like it
they did not need it. Kendrick reps LA but it his performance was about Black ppl as a whole in America. Hence him having Sam Jackson as Uncle Sam and a bunch of ppl dressed in red, white and blue and creating the US flag. Kendrick definitely was dancing and had all kinds of visuals that Wayne would not have pulled off they are not the same type of performer.

Yeah, that's all well and good—I totally get why he did it. As I mentioned earlier, I'm both a football fan and a music fan. I don't tune into the Super Bowl for messaging, especially not the halftime performance. I watch to relax and escape from the troubles of the world—the same reason I go on vacation or to the movies.

Let me be clear: I understand the message, but the people he's trying to reach don't care and still feel the same way they always have.

Also, you don't know what Wayne would have done, so stating it as fact is wrong.
I can't try to change your opinion of what you like
However if we're speaking on what New Orleans needed it was not some drunk coked out slurred Wayne performance. Can't predict what didn't happen but his history is very telling
