More kids are getting diagnosed because there is more research and knowledge to diagnosis early. Also you have more immediate access to seeing more people with "severe" behaviors because of the immediate access of the internet and social media. It's unlikely you're actually
seeing a significant amount of more kids with severe autism present day, offline in your day to day than you did back in the 90s.
