More research needs to be put into why there has been huge explosion in the number of autistic children, especially since the turn of the century (year 2000).

Growing up in the 90s you never saw so many kids with severe autism, ADHD and other behavioural issues. Definitely something is up.

More kids are getting diagnosed because there is more research and knowledge to diagnosis early. Also you have more immediate access to seeing more people with "severe" behaviors because of the immediate access of the internet and social media. It's unlikely you're actually
seeing a significant amount of more kids with severe autism present day, offline in your day to day than you did back in the 90s.

You just think back to when you were a kid. There definitely weren't all these autistic non-verbal kids running around.

Non verbal is often misquoted as having issues with speech
But non verbal refers to how the persion interprets non verbal cues, visual andn spatial iformation

So most times because soemone isnt slobbering and grunting off in the distance

Their non verbal learning disabilities went unoticed or ignored
Some.parents know something is wrong but sel prescribe they will grow out of it
Black fathers often say their boys with issues just need s9m trim to snap out of it :kii:

But now that we are hyper aware of what to look for lots more diagnosis

These ppul.blend in everyday life tho

a lot of autistic kids in the 90s were written off as shy, disengaged, or just sensitive, lazy and difficult. That's why so many adults now are getting a late diagnosis. There's just more awareness of the ignorance previous generations had.

Almost
