Quote from: Lane Bryant Jumpsuit on March 15, 2025, 05:16:12 PMFirstly that gurl aint got no real stories shes had a great life not filled with major traumas

Her parents are still alive
Shes alive post stroke and is doing great
She can still release music

The biggest mess was an accident that wasnt her fault
And her own confidence issues

Which dancing with the stars and Broadway help her overcome

Like at this point ray j got the most going on in brandys life

But back to this theory

One thing that set beyonce apart is shes an amazing entertainer performer and singer and its been consistent for her entire career she deserves to have a big name and legacy

Brandy is so blessed that she never got to the level of fandom of a beyonce
And im glad for the most part she goes under the radar because we got so much goung on these days a brandy over there talking about cinderella and full moon is not whats popping in the grand scheme

But brandys legacy and timeless music has people re evaluating what they missed by overlooking her and discovering her vocals as well
And it keeps going more and more discoveries are being made about her

I think beyonces over exposure causes alot of peeople to look elsewhere for their musical fixes but brandy isnt affected by what beyonce does

No more than viola davis is affected by what beyonce does :plzstop:

Beyonce cant be taken down shes an unproblmatic queen and even if her association with jay z is unsavory she will distance herself

I agree with these statements a lot. good obversations

Quote from: Summertime on March 16, 2025, 12:49:04 PMI would love to read ab all the BTS mess even if she doesn't name names that she had to contend with.

She has had to contend with some senior executives trying to mess her over.
LA Reid was involved in all that lawsuit mess.

Her mom mentioned on twitter around the time they were trying to get the case moved from NY about the desire was to get her into a retroactive 360, her publishing, & I think she stated they wanted Brandy to be forced to rehire them at a larger manager rate.
I am curious if Brandy shared more details ab this in her memoir.

With Brandy being so supremely talented & a unique vocalist which is why she is the mother for all these gorls.
So all the BTS mess she encountered canceled its self out since she is the standard.

Period to the bold one. And overall I truly do think she has some of the very finest and juiciest Hollywood stories out of all the people alive. She is the ultimate authority because she has that true 90's era Whitney/Janet type fame, but still is considered a current artist. She will be able to share things and put things together in a way that hardly any other music celeb could and the intro sounded very promising and that it would be quite personal.

The iconic, multiplatinum, Grammy Award®–winning performer Brandy brings us a raw, intimate portrait of her life, charting her growth to stardom from Mississippi churches to Hollywood spotlights

From the moment she first sang at church in McComb, Mississippi, Brandy knew her voice was special. At fourteen she landed her first record deal. At fifteen her album went platinum. At sixteen she was starring in the hit sitcom Moesha and became the first Black actress to play Cinderella on screen alongside fairy godmother, Whitney Houston.

Yet as the accolades piled up, so too did the pressure the maintain a flawless image. To onlookers, she had crafted the blueprint for the teenage "it" girl. But behind closed doors "The Vocal Bible" as she was known, was struggling.

Now, for the first time, Brandy reveals the real story behind her life in the spotlight, the stratospheric highs and the unimaginable lows, the groundbreaking moments and the relatable journey she had to take to discover her authentic self—as a woman, a mother, an artist—as Brandy.

Brandy's debut memoir is a fearless and remarkable story of hope, resilience and the strength it takes to make peace with the past.

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated to be only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.
