Quote from: Ulysses on July 02, 2025, 02:22:47 PMThis IS a win. He's not going to be locked up for the rest of his life. Instead prolly 3-6 years.

how deluded do you have to be to think that being LOCKED UP, recmgsrdleds of the time, is a "win"

 :plzstop:

Because Cassie and em thought he was going to go away for the rest of his life. He is just taking a short vacation lol

How deluded do you have to be to consider ANY amount of prison time a "vacation"

 :plzstop:

Gilgamesh.

I have a lot of thoughts, personally I feel like he should be behind bars for the Cassie lashings alone - but he wasn't on trial for that and I think once we separate how you FEEL about Diddy's actions versus the legality of it, this case didn't have a lot to stand on.

And the fact that the Ushers, Mary etc haven't said shit about this is very telling.

This whole "told yall! he just a freak' dassit!" thing people are pushing would make a LOT more sense if he evaded all charges and still wasn't sitting in jail as I type this, and still wasn't denied bail due to his apparent threat to society.

And who knows, sometimes part of legal strategy is to hit someone with huge and smaller (but serious/felonious) charges - knowing that the jury may not slam the defendant on the hugest charge, but will feel compelled to hold them on SOMETHING

It's like shooting for the stars - even if you don't make it to the stars, you'll still land on a cloud cuz you aimed so high.

Just as when this judge sentences Diddy in October, he may not hit him with the full 20 year max, but I highly doubt he will give Diddy probation. He's gonna wanna hold Diddy on SOMETHING as punishment. My guess is 5 years.

Make no mistake, Diddy fully expected to walk out of jail yesterday and go home. Much like his fans, he was probably feeling like a "winner!". But he's still sitting in jail.

He was still found guilty of serious crimes, so the prosecution made their case.

Didn't get the whole shabang with RICO, but they proved Diddy isn't "just a freak".

I hate that this clip of armon getting oil sprayed on him outside of the court is circulating with the narrative of "diddy supporter" attached to it

He wasn't celebrating and it's clearly frustrating him that people are taking it that way , instead of how he intended (a unique way for him to wrap up his coverage on the case)

But ultimately it wasn't the best move. When you're outside the court jumping around seemingly in joy screaming for "more oil!" after diddys "win"

Someone seeing that as/assuming it's a celebration and alignment with diddy just isn't unreasonable at that point. Especially those unfamiliar with Armon

Ulysses

In just a couple years, he will be back in his HOMES, his yacht, with his family and alllllll the baby oil he wants. NOT rotting away in prison for the rest of his life. A WIN.

This is wishful thinking

A) "couple of years" - he's facing 20 and hasn't been sentenced yet

B) you're referencing his assets but he's facing a pile of civil lawsuits after the feds are done with him. Not saying all will stick, but some might and they will threaten his assets.

OJ Simpson walked out of court a free man completely after his verdict and I encourage you to research what happened to him afterwards

Families were able to get at him successfully for coins WITHOUT any guilty verdict. He lost his home, even his Heisman trophy without a guilty verdict.

Diddy actually has verdicts against him which could give credence to claims brought against him in lawsuits - verdicts specifically related to how he treated other human beings.

If that isn't great foundation for a credible civil lawsuit, I don't know what it is.

What you just described is a fantasy that I am sure is in Diddys head right now. And the same fantasy OJ Simpson had (which I'd say was probably more reasonable for him since he was actually acquitted COMPLETELY.)

 But unfortunately...
