I'm devastated to have to announce that today my partner of 20 years Devon Hurst passed away peacefully due to complications from diabetes, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his mother Chareen Hurst, his sisters Meshonda ,Stephany and Jayla, his brothers , Steven ,Stephon and Malcolm his daughter Zyrielle , his son Davone and his nieces and nephews and his partner Freddie Ross Jr. 

He will deeply missed by everyone in this community who knew him and loved him.

We take comfort in knowing he is free from any pain and suffering, and is at peace in the loving arms of Jesus Christ 🙏🏾❤️

I immediately thought of Afro @focus remember that one interview of Big Freedia you posted a few months ago? The one with her eating with that guy? I remember she said in the interview Deveon always wanted to take her out on a date and make things official but Freedia waited until he was independent and mature enough

The way Freedia always kept her values even though she had enough money to support them both    I just know Freedia is going through it
