The reason why I think a lot of R&B fans put TLC over DC is because TLC were more sophisticated and mature, and stuck more to R&B.


DC started off very sophisticated and mature with that debut album, but became more pop oriented with the later albums. Survivor is damn near a pop album.

TLC came first and ppl seem to rate their albums highly so I understand why ppl would place them high

DC was the last GOOD girl group imo. Everyone that came after them was trying to be them and/or just didn't have "it".

And yes, they were the best, closely followed by SWV.
