DC started off very sophisticated and mature with that debut album, but became more pop oriented with the later albums. Survivor is damn near a pop album.

TLC was just the overall better girl group.

They blended together as a trio much better. Although T-Boz was considered the lead to most, it didn't come across as too obvious like it did with Beyoncé and the gorls
