I doubt he cares. He's one of the MAIN ones that pushes the divisive rhetoric that sets Black Americans, Black Caribbean Americans and Black Continental Africans at each others throats. He appeals to a particular segment of the Black Community who want the same power that white people have. Dr. Umar is extreme and clearly a liar, and a bit of a joke at this point ...I don't believe this "bank account hacked" thing for a minute

and he's further hurting his credibility by just not being honest with his followers

but I'm sick of people blaming Foundational Black American principles with "creating division" that already existed.

and (some) Black Americans calling Africans "booty scratchers"
and even the larger Caribbean community looking down on Haitians because they're "dirty"

....have always existed. There's been "division" for a while now.

And for people to completely overlook how White supremacy/internalized racism is at the root of this all and point the finger at Black figures instead is laughable

I don't believe in the extreme showboats like Dr. Umar but Foundational Black Americans simply acknowledging that we have our own specific history and embracing that - there's nothing wrong with it.

but i will say a lot of people Dr. Umar appeals to are def annoying.... and in worst cases - disgusting, delusional and weird

the ones who deny that our ancestors are from West Africa and instead say that Black people are the "REAL Native Americans!!!"

it upsets me because it erases the history of those who suffered for us to even be here

being proud of being Black American is acknowledging Black American history for what it is.

and i could understand if the transatlantic slave trade was some unproven myth that could be challenged
but we have receipts, records, and now even DNA that can show us it wasn't some random fantasy
