but COMEDIANS make fun of EVERYBODY. that's literally the job. equal opportunity lashings. they ain't putting nobody on some imaginary "do not disturb" list. also, you can't laugh at other jokes and then catch feelings when it comes your way. what's good for the goose is good for the gander. experienced trauma is completely valid, but a comedian isn't responsible for your triggers, you are. the world doesn't need to (and isn't going to) censor itself for your comfort. and that's across the board.
ari's speaking on her experience though

one doesn't have to be offended or pretend to be offended to just have empathy for someone's personal experience or feelings

if a Black woman comes to me and says "heres my experience as a Black woman"

costs nothing for me to just nod and say i understand and i'm sorry you're feeling that way. even if i don't find what was said to be personally offensive.

i don't HAVE to tell her to STFU and sit down somewhere. it's not ... necessary.

nor do i HAVE to pretend i understand someone misplacing responsibility for their triggers. it costs me nothing as well vvccc

i take this situations on a case by case basis, and in this case: ari, BYE

you don't get to dictate whether someone has "misplaced responsibility" their own "triggers"

unless you've been hired as their therapist. which im assuming you have not.

it's pretty ambitious of you to make such a conclusion when you're literally not in the position to do so.
and that's not even coming from an emotional or even subjective standpoint. this is factual.

and yes, you don't have to pretend you understand. but again, you don't have to go out of your way to tell them to STFU either.

Significant Discovery: First known Black American family of Kalmyk descent

Takeaways: Be prepared to pivot, even when you think you're on the right track. Be OK with being wrong so you can get things right.

Kalmyks are tribal Mongolic people who settled in Russia. It's estimated that only 300,000 Kalmyk descendants exist worldwide - with only 3,000 in America.

i'm not dictating anything, that's my opinion based on facts presented. nor did I go out of my way to do anything vvvvvvv

by that logic, you didn't have to "go out of your way" to tell me you disagree

i've seen the gorls having "serious moments" on here and sharing their feelings/experiences

imagine someone disregarding you and telling you to STFU and that it's your problem

because trust, there's ALWAYS gonna be people who truly don't give af about you and how you feel when you're sharing it on a platform where many can view.

but part of being a decent human being (or just an adult) is realizing that even though you don't care about someone's shared experience, or feel they should just STFU and stop complaining, or MAN UP.....

this is clearly a moment where they are vulnerable and sharing. they're not doing anything wrong by expressing their personal experience or feelings on a topic deeply serious/sensitive to them.

and for you to scream out "gorl stfu and get counseling. u stay triggered :uhh: ", would be inconsiderate at the least..VIOLENT at the most.

that's the last i'll say on it in here. because the consistent lack of empathy for women like Ari is truly alarming and upsetting. and weird.

this might be another case where ari is seeing/hearing something that wasn't there.
the pam feedback she gave wasn't accurate bc pam never experienced colorism from martin + martin wasn't 'picking on her.'
martin went in on everyone & never uttered colorist remarks towards pam.
+ the whole banter between pam & martin was based on the back-n-forth between RedFoxx & LaWanda Page chracters Sanford & Sons.
bernie's standup was centered more on himself + family. he never was like DL or Steve. so wonder how ari got offended by his standup.
ari has spoken ab her struggles w her self-esteem which is likely weighing in on her going through the archives, which is leading her to see & hear from the vantage point of her struggles.

!!!!

And if that offended her that much, she definitely couldn't handle All In The Family, The Jeffersons, and Sanford & Son. She'll call out Sherman Hemsley and Redd Foxx next. :dead:
