or a deal where he gets paid off only if she wins. it's not an uncommon practice with lawyers who work with low income clients who bring forth an assumably "winnable" case, especially if the case is high profile and could put the lawyer's name in lights if they win it.

pretty sure her lawyer was well aware of the likelihood of her being able to pay him before taking the case - especially considering this is an issue stemming from her occupation as a security guard.

but let me go recover from this bombshell you dropped, that someone from Consuela's payroll is in court providing testimony that could help her keep a significant chunk of her wealth.
