Per the RIAA, the slew of certification updates attached to Cardi titles like 'Invasion of Privacy' and 'Am I the Drama' as well as songs 'WAP,' 'Up,' 'Press,' 'Money,' 'Bodak Yellow,' and more have pushed her cumulative sales to 77 million in the United States.

Leap-frogging over the previous leaders Nicki Minaj (65.5 million) and Doja Cat (60.5 million), the counts account for the performers' single and album commercial performances combined and makes Cardi the overall best-selling female rapper in American history.

Among all female acts, Cardi ranks 14th behind Taylor Swift (242.5 million), Rihanna (217 million), Beyonce (198.5 million), Mariah Carey (150.5 million), Katy Perry (140.5 million), Ariana Grande (120 million), Whitney Houston (109 million), SZA (105.5 million), Lady Gaga (101.5 million), Britney Spears (98.5 million), Madonna (87 million), Miley Cyrus (82.5 million), and Billie Eilish (81.5 million).
