i remember being in a work setting years ago
and some of coworkers (Black male and female) gathering around to talk about a new employee who was very flamboyant. he carried what appeared to be a purse, wore flashy clothing..makeup, etc. to work. IMO he was fabulous
i was in on the conversation and i politely and tactfully checked them, just saying something to the effect of maybe he's just being himself. i have different ways of expressing myself too.
then they went into this whole thing about "oh but you're not like HIM! you're CLASSY!"
like oh what an HONOR that i get your stamp of approval. i must be special! im not doing too much.
it took everything in me not to drag the shit out of them and show them what damage a ghetto, ratchet, neck rolling Southside faggot can do. yeah im soft spoken and kind but youve only seen one side of me.
i just walked away cuz as i mentioned before it was a work setting. and moving forward i distanced myself.
