She's signed with Brandy and Monica's PR team last year.

Her manager is Londell McMillian, he's the attorney of Prince's estate and owner of Source magazine.

He's responsible for her BET Awards performance last year. Jesse Collins and BET wanted her to do Wo but she went with Case of the Ex.

The album is top tier this year. She really delivered and the features are featuring. I'm ready to see her perform a little bit.

Yeah it's one of the smaller arenas. This is one of the venues PCD was scheduled to perform at.

FWIW, Mohegan does have a halfhouse setup, although that would still be larger than a typical theater. But I think being a one-off casino show lowers the pressure quite a bit because casinos usually give their high rewards members comp tickets to the shows. She probably doesn't need to "sell" a certain number of tickets so much as she just needs enough rewards members to claim their comped tickets instead of opting to skip the show. (Though if she can sell tickets that would be great!) I just looked at the other shows Mohegan has on their schedule and pretty much everyone's Ticketmaster page was blue, so I don't think Mya is in huge danger of being cut if demand is low.

Mohegan was the only casino venue on PCD's US leg and the date Mya booked happens to be right after the that tour leg would have ended, so my guess is she was able to turn that into a connection that got her one date of her own, and she can use this as a sort of test to see what kind of demand she has in general and book any other venues (and/or team up with another nostalgia act) accordingly. I still think she and Kim would have made a good co-headlining tour, personally.
