Yeah Static's assistant said the same thing in an anniversary article for her 3rd album years ago.

Tim & Miss allegedly was beefing with Barry over money issues so they boycotted from participating for the 3rd album recording sessions until it was resolved and they didn't want to go to Australia to record either b/c they had their own busy careers too. That's why Static, Black, & Keybeats were heavily involved to fill that void. I'm sure with Static's success with AYTS and Try Again he was gonna get writing placements anyway

Looking back now Blackground digging through the OIAM archives to put I Care 4 U on the album for a Tim/Miss placement to cater to fans like is funny af. I'm sure she loved the song but it saved the label from paying them again. I'm assuming Aaliyah took the business side personal so she wasn't fuckin wit them at the moment
