Mya's connection was through her label who was producing and releasing the soundtrack. Jimmy Iovine fought for her to be included because he thought it would give her more exposure. Plus she was doing a bunch of soundtracks anyway.

When did Missy publicly call him out ? I don't recall. Missy is so private. I rarely hear her speak on things.
