It was a demo from the mixtape lol. I remember hearing it on the R&B Central mixtape like 6 months before Afro came out.

It's not cohesive, it always felt so THROWN together and rushed to me, compared to masterpieces like NSN and Fullmoon. Turn It Up is so fucking random...
Turn It Up was kind of a "buzz track" that they ended up including

it was released ahead of the first official single/album to kinda announce GHan was on her way back with new music. something for the DJs/radios to play to kinda warm the gorls up. back when buzz tracks were actually a thing.

(like an actual real thing, before "buzz track" became another way of saying "my official first single flopped so we just gon call it that". u can tell by the lyrics/vibe it was actually supposed to create buzz)

which explains why it sounds outta place. and even of lower quality compared to the other tracks.

i agree it shouldnt have been included

but any of the gorls basing a lot of their mess off of "Turn It Up" should prob reconsider

aside from that track the alber was extremely cohesive and had a purpose and a very clear message

What is your excuse for SADIDDY and even FINALLY? I love Finally to infinity, but those three songs in particular
are so mixtap-ish.

Great records on that album, but the song flow was all over the place.

I always skip SADDIDY and TURN IT UP to this day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I even made a playlist including all the songs on the album except those two songs, and
it's so much more cohesive that way.

I like Turn It Up.

It's Finally that I still don't use to til this very day :uhh: that and Ms. Freedom Rings and "High Heels" are disgusting Brandy records.

Afrodisiac doesn't should cheap, but I can understand how the girls didn't initially use.

Timbaland did a decent job but I don't think he understood Brandy's "sound" and "voice" like Darkchild did

I used to love it. It's still cute but should've been an interlude

I think with the AFRODISIAC album is when they started letting Brandy have creative control.
That sums it up actually.
