Nah I think it's the right score. Stuff like Come A Little Closer and WOW brings it down a lil. Nonetheless it's such a great review and i'm glad she's getting recognition for that album.

Afro is still better tho

I agree that those two stand out as slightly weaker cuts, but I was thinking more in 9.2 - 9.4 range, lolz

As the blueprint for contemporary R&B, the foundational text of the Vocal Bible, which evolved the sound and singing style of the genre itself, I think it deserves a bit more. BRocka came before Damita Jo and Sucha Farce, Brandy was pioneering the female music alter ego on the album. Full Moon was innovative and ahead of its time, the mixed reception it got at the time shows that critics weren't able to fully appreciate what Brandy was doing because it was so trailblazing. Brandy doesn't chase trends, she moves music itself.
