I truly think they would've paid her if that Verzuz never happened.

Monica's issue has always been competition. She has accomplished a lot, but so has a few other artists and the awards usually go to those other artists. She's not the only one in her position. A lot of The R&B girls couldn't get anything when Whitney, Mariah, Janet, Toni, Mary and Brandy were getting EVERYTHING. Then if it was a group it was TLC, Destiny's Child, and add on some awards seen gender specific so you have Usher, Boyz II Men, Michael, Stevie, R Kelly etc in there too

Monica is actually blessed to have what she has

Exactly. Monica wanted to be like Whitney the singer, but didn't want the regal, perfect image that Whitney had

I had no idea that she received ZERO nominations during the ATS era "So Gone" was worthy of a nod

She did receive nominations during the After the Storm era from Billboard, Soul Train, etc. Just didn't win.
