Her father is Jamaican with LIGHT SKINNED complexion. I'm pretty sure there's some mixed heritage in his family, but he's not Indian. Indentured immigrants went to Trinidad and Guyana, and Suriname to a lesser extent. That's why they have the largest Indo-Caribbean (and very racist) population in the Caribbean. Barbados and Jamaica saw very few. There might be some Indian ancestry mixed in there, but that man clearly has significant black ancestry. If he's not black then Nicki Minaj isn't black either. Her Mom is dougla and her father is Indo-Trinidadian.

This is the key phrase as nothing has been confirmed. Why haven't we seen a black member in Kamala's family? The presence of Indian heritage exists in the region, but that does not automatically mean black exists as well.

For the latter point you tried to make, we can see Nicki's black mother. And she's never denied/downplayed being black.

honestly i wasn't entertaining this idea of Kamala's father looking "INDIAN!" cuz from the throwback pics I saw, he looked Black to me, not ambiguous or other.

but this was really the first time I saw a HQ pic of him. and i immediately thought of my grandmother and auntie. like he looks JUST like them.

and my former coworker who is Bangladeshi ....years ago i saw pics of his mother and was like omg she looks like my grandmother       it was kinda weird. cuz my Grandma is not South Asian.

so Bow isn't crazy. there may be something "there" in terms of him giving an "ambiguous" mess ....im just not seeing it.

i still dont see it honestly but Bow is kinda making sense considering those things i mentioned.

This reminds me of when ppl assumed Pharrell's ex Vashtie was an African West Indian. All for her to reveal she is Indian.
Ppl let brown complexion sway them so easily and the concept of Black really is something that is specific to the negro aka Black Americans.
We don't call ourselves that based on complexion either.
This whole thing with Kamala was brought up the first time she ran which is why she struggled with the black vote aka the black American vote and had to drop out. Politico even ran an article about it at the time.
