there's a difference between knowing someone has struggled with drugs and assuming a very specific incident (one which could very well call their professionalism into question) occurred because of them doing drugs before coming on your show.

especially if you're choosing to SHARE the information with the world when said person isn't even here to defend themselves anymore.

and you have a reputation in which many people will take you seriously and take what you're saying as fact without questioning it

Oprah is the same person who VERY quietly SCRUBBED that "leaving neverland" special off of all her social media accounts

once the gorls discovered her guests were basically full of shit and poked holes all up n thru their stories.
after coming on stage to chat with her and kick Mike's corpse around a bit for shits and giggles

so she has a bit of a history of rushing to the MESS before doing thorough fact checking

and she will never apologize for getting it wrong or acknowledge it, even if she clearly did

her reputation of being "above it all" kinda protects her but if you peel it back a bit Oprah can very well be a dressed up Tasha K sometimes.

The whole premise of that interview and performance was Whitney having a triumphant comeback. She was supposed to be clean and overcoming her obstacles.
She was not out there telling Oprah she was still doing drugs.

Do ppl fall when they're high on coke? :diddraispoot:  I thought it gives you energy.

Whitney was always quick and witty, on stage and in interviews.

energy doesn't mean the absence of inebriation. being geeked up and moving too fast/not paying attention can cause you to fall. mentual acuity and physical acuity are different beasts. also, if she relapsed, she would be experiencing this almost brand new. these symptoms at her age after being clean would almost be brand new territory, worlds apart from when she was younger and a steady user. idk if it's true or not, but i just don't see a scenario where oprah would have a reason to lie. and if it is true, so whatttt lol? we still love and will continue to love whit. no one is perfect and we all have our own demons. i genuinely think ophs' just didn't figure it would be a big deal. i get that because i don't see why it is either lol.
