Adele sells albums because her music is good and her music reaches a broad audience. And let's not forget that she's white.

and Beyonce also sells less albums than adele as well. Adele is definitely likable and relatable and that definitely is a reason people support her. Beyonce sells moreso based on just her image and showmanship

Artistic personality comes through music as well. Videos. etc.
Michael was damn near MUTE outside of the studio and stage, and had one of the biggest presences known to man.

BEyonce's personality as an artist is VERY strong as well.

So to say Adele is outselling other artists because she's hopping around with a dumb prop in her hand is ludicrous.
