I do find it funny how Bey is trying to be all black power now tho
Get in where you fit in, I guess

am mean, this angela davis mess is clearly a ploy  :dead:

but it's not like she could articulate some sort of political stance in an interview or anything, so I guess doing it via her music makes more sense.
intent is not nearly important as impact.

Her silence regarding police brutality and discrimination up until now kind of works against her. I can't ever recall her speaking out against in any interview, it's all catch phrases and one music video. And now that she is "speaking out"... the conversation turns to her intent and and the real issues get buried.

She did the same thing when the feminist thing was in vogue. I can appreciate an artist bringing a message, but I can smell the bullshit too.

Yea, it's not genuine.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Honestly im not gonna bust a nut cause this fake, calculated ass hoe decides to take a stand or "speak out" when it convenient to her and what she has going on. Saying intention doesnt matter is really kinda backwards to me. I cant respect u or the message your peddling if it has some inauthentic ass agenda, PLEA!
But that's where comprehension comes into play, because I never said intention doesn't matter. It may matter to some, but in the bigger scheme of things, speaking morally -- impact will always trump intent. Whether the outcome be negative or positive.

But mess.

tigernathan

and it's no shade cause I love a lot of Bey songs and she's an amazing performer... but my thing is if you can't articulate your views then don't make a song about it. It makes her look even dumber than when she opens her bama mouth. Like Yumz said, it was the same thing with the whole feminist wave she was riding for a bit.

Zankou.

Her music and dance speak louder than any interview.

yummy

impact is cute and all, I'm just not buying Beyonce and Jay as altruistic community activists just because Beyonce puts out a video with her saying several pro-black lines tucked in with money brags.

I think we should wait a little while longer to see how this plays out, the next single could be a drunk in love/sl rehash to ease things over with the white fans she pissed off.
